League Champions - 2005    Previous    Next

Chorley Lynx moved to Blackpool and were reformed as the Blackpool Gladiators.

To accommodate Les Catalans in Super League XI, two teams were relegated from Super League with just one team promoted from National League One. Two teams were also relegated from League One with just one promotion from League Two. As in 2004 the team above the League One relegation zone participated in the League Two Playoff Series.

In National League Three, Warrington Woolston Rovers became Warrington Wizards. South London Storm and Manchester Knights withdrew before the season began. Birmingham Bulldogs and Carlisle Centurions withdrew during the season and their records were expunged.
