Back to Golden Lions Details from the Wigan Warriors Club Legends site Now the Warriors Assistant Coach to Mike Gregory, appointed November 2002 after winning the Senior Grand Final with the Under 21’s in 2003. Joined in the mid eighties from Leigh Rangers and made his debut for the club in season 86/7. Developed into one of the hardest hitting Second Row Forwards in the modern game. Denis played in all conquering Wigan side of the late eighties and nineties, played in seven consecutive Challenge Cup sides and won the Lance Todd in 1991 against Saints. Also played in two World Cup Championships before moving to Auckland Warriors in the NRL. Has been capped thirty times by GB and has the honour on returning to Wigan of scoring the first try at the JJB Stadium. Was given a testimonial in 2001. Back to Golden Lions |
